Hi. I deleted Cydia by mistake. Europa was helping me but he must be asleep. It's difficult for me to access a pc which I am right now. Europa suggested reJB'ing but Absinthe wont allow me as it says the phone is already JB. I thought I may be able to restore without the update by putting it into DFU but iTunes said it was gonna update it. How can I do the re JB without updating it?

Don't make a post calling attention to your original post. It's early in the morning for a lot of members here, and most of them will see your post in a few hours, including Europa. I'm sure she or someone else will be able to help you. Just be patient.

Oh god strike me down. What a disaster.....I am now officially I'm in recovery mode. I tried using redsnow to restore ispw & then I cancelled the exercise before I went through with it but alas .....I can hear the howling laughter from here! Im now going to put the bloody phone down & take the dog for a walk & await the JB Gods benevolence.

You'll need to restore and rejailbreak. Please list your phone model and current firmware. Do you have an SHSH for the firmware version you want to restore to?

I have a 4s on 5.1.1. . I just havn't gone he extra step & grocked the whole SHSH thang. I'm pretty sure I hit "make life easier for me" or whatever & uploaded my er....'Blobs'. Id just like it back to 5.1.1. Does this answer your question?

I'm sorry I'm not trying to bump but you see I am borrowing this pc & I'll have to give back. I need my phone & it's hard for me to answer a query, wait a day for the world to revolve, get an answer, ask a follow up question & wait another day. I just have to go & I need the phone so I hope restoring it using iTunes isnt going to mean I have lost my jb but I fear that it will.
an update..I hit shift restore pointed to the 5.1.1 ispw i'd downloaded & it seems to be back on 5.1.1 & it is still Jb'n but I still dont have Cydia & at the end I got an error messag (3194) I think. Anyway I can make calls so I will just wait for the world to spin I suppose. For the record, so I'm not making some glib queiry...
    Firmware version is 2.0.12
How do I reinstall Cydia when Absinthe wont allow me coz it says it's still JB'n?

It didn't successfully restore if you got error 3194. You'll need to use redsn0w rather than just shift+restoring. Use this guide to restore to 5.1.1. This will only work if you have an SHSH for 5.1.1.

When you say if I had an SHSH for 5.1.1... I've never gone there. Don't have a terminal emul8r. I believe I did hit that button when I installed Cydia, which is supposed to save the er...blobs to your server. Is that what you refered to?

Yes, you probably have it then. You can use TinyUmbrella to check.

Is there something wrong with my posts coz I've asked you directly, twice in this thread....? Is hitting the "make my life easier tab the equivalent to..."having an SHSH for 5.1.1"
Sry to bump. If the question bugs you then call me a noob & I'll PO. Hard to know if your just being another smug snooty dev or your just busy, when you ignore a question

Yes, selecting "make my life easier" will allow Cydia to automatically back up an SHSH for each new firmware version.

 Yeesh. I'm trying to help you. I'm at work, but I'm checking in here when I have time. I told you how to check and see if you have the SHSH since you weren't certain if you had it or not.

Not to be funny to the OP but Europa has helped me many a time when I've had problems. You WILL have to be patient, she works very funny shifts. Now no disrespect OP but do you not work also?
