I've had my WhiteBook just 8 days shy of 2 months and each time I use it, I think, out of all the gadgets and toys I have, this one by far, is the best purchase I've made in a long time and I couldn't be happier.

The fact that Apple released a 2.4GHz MB doesnt bother me since mine is 2.2GHz- barely a noticeable difference.

I purchased the TableMate II for my PS3 steering wheel, but now just use it all over my house with my MB instead of having it sitting in my lap.

    And nope.... thats not me.

I looked at the book today. It looked so boring. I may have to get it though. I really do not know what I am doing with the mac. I am just pushing things and trying stuff out. Good thing it is fairly intuitive. It did take me quite a while to figure out how to change what's on the dock!

the more time you spend with it the easier it gets. I fall in love with it more every day. Now that I'm learning all the commands and have found tips here and there I feel almost as comfortable on it as the XP machine I'm used to.

Plus it's just so much more visually appealing. Whenever I switch over to xp on bootcamp you can really tell the difference. It's basically like comparing the iPhones OSX mobile to WM6.

The macbook has been my first computer and has been a good experience. I have had to send it in a couple of times due to malfunction but apple always fixed it and I never lost any of my data. I got it when it first came out in 2006 which probably explains some of the problems. The iPhone integration with a macbook is just awesome. No real headaches at all!

I've been thinking about grabbing this book as well. I have found that the more time I spend just using my MB, the better at it I get.

Pushing things and trying stuff out on your own is good.

I'm going to look out for that book next time I'm at B&N. In the meantime, have you all checked out the Switcher 101 stuff at Apple's site? You're all probably past a lot of the stuff, but this section has given me some nice pointers and things I've made notes on for future ref, like using Automator, just as one example.

I find with computer stuff, the closer I am to a computer when I'm reading a tip or trick, the more likely I'll try it out quickly, and retain it ...

I ordered my Macbook online on Saturday and got it today. Love it!! In the meantime while I was waiting for it to come I bought the "Switching to Mac for Dummies" book at B&N. It prepared me and I feel I already new a little more about it before opening up the box. FYI-All the "dummies" book are on sale this week at B & N plus there is a $5 rebate by mail.
