I want to buy this but also want to make sure it works with the incase slider. Anyone try?

I would assume not. Europa said it barely fit her case, which is slimmer than the incases.

No, they do not fit with a slider case. I believe that they are working on something, but so far, nada.

Well, you know Apple... They were suing over the name Podium because it's a stand for an iPhone or an iPod. Since it's made for those devices, and Podium has Pod in the name, Apple issued a cease and desist to the folks at Pivatol when the podium first came out.
Obviously this didn't stop production, because they came out with 2 more, the Pearl and Carbon. But either they have a very high demand for the Platinum, or somehow Apple actually got them to stop production, allowing them to just sell off the remaining stock.
That would attribute to the Platinum being out of stock, and the much lower price point for the other 2 versions.

Personally, I think Apple can suck it on this one. I mean how many frivolous lawsuits do they need to have going on at one time? Is this just their legal department justifying the salaries of some of their lawyers?

That is a bit crazy. So what about the word podcast? Can I not use the word podcast without Apple suing me?

Just bought another Podium. It's the flat black one (the only one they are still offering at the moment) and it looks sweet on my desk. I decided that i need one for home and one for the office, and I was right. Plus, the price is only $29 right now -you cant go wrong!

the podium is a very nice stand. It is super sturdy but a bit on the pricey side. I have the zphonestand which is amazing! you can use it with a case too. Try checking it out at zphonestand.com. It comes in three different colors, but the owner stated that he might start taking custom color orders. The stand is really sturdy too.

Normally I would agree with you, but $29 is actually pretty cheap for the podium. Plus their customer service is pretty damn good. I broke the cradle by carrying the podium around in my backpack unprotected. I admitted it was my fault and was willing to buy a new cradle. They sent me a new one for free.
I broke the second one. This time I could not figure out how, because I wasn't toting it back and forth to work any more, and when I did travel with it, I actually used the original packaging. I emailed them and planned on buying 2 - just in case i had a future problem. They sent them no questions asked, no charge.

That kind of service is why I bought the second one. One at home next to my bed, and one on my desk at work.
