I have tried and tried in vain to get the iPhone to sync with Outlook 2007. iTunes indicates that it is doing a sync, but when it is completed, there are no contacts or calendar data on the device. Anyone else have this problem/discovered a solution?

I had the same problem - can't synch at all with Outlook 2003. I ended up putting all my contact info in Yahoo and sycnhed that way. Sucks though because I have my calendar in Outlook etc.

Why would you buy an Apple product and expect it to work smoothely with a Windows PC? Its like buying Mercedes parts and trying to install them in a Volkswagen.....One day everyone will own a Mac...

I can't get any sound out of this phone w/o headphones, but the sync was fine in Vista and Outlook 2007, contacts, cal etc. I put songs and photos and that went well too. Still can not use phone as a phone though and I got an email stating that it is activated. I did not get the sms message. Very frustrating.

Sign up for a yahoo account and once there input all of your outlook contacts into Yahoo contacts. When synching the iPhone choose Yahoo as the contact source. You will be prompted for your yahoo id and password.

    Fixed Outlook syncing problem

I too was having this issue and Apple support very friendly but no help. As usual with Outlook, whenever I setup new e-mail accounts or add any new hardware, I always seem to have to restart my machine to get it to work. So I did 3 things:

    1) Unplugged the device and USB plug
    2) Powered down the iPhone and also did a reset on the iPhone
    3) Restared my computer

One my PC restarted I reconnected the iPhone. Then it will ask if you want to restore from backup and I said "yes". At that point it started syncing everything and wha-la, it is there! At least contacts and calendar. Now off to figure out my mail issues...:laugh2:

My solution for Outlook 2003 Sync

So I was unable to get my contacts or calendar to sync with outlook 2003 so there were 2 things that needed to be done.
1.) Within outlook, click help>check for updates

After you ensure you have the latest updates, try and and sync again. If this doesn't work, go to step 2.

2.) Within outlook, click help>detect and repair

**Note, make sure you have backed up all your contacts and calender.

Once this is complete, I got the sync to work no problem!

    Hope this helps!

    Outlook 2002 sync bug

I am able to sync with Outlook 2002 with onlyone problem-- it doesn't sync any of my recurring events that were created on the pc. I tried recreating them from scratch, and setting an end date but no luck. Anybody else having this issue?

    Outlook 2003 Sync Fix

At last! Go to Outook. On menu, go to Tools/Options. Pick the Other tab, then Advanced Options. Look for COM Add-Ins and select the two Itunes choices.

    Voila!

You are the man!!!:laugh2: It worked perfect. After many hours with the iPhone people and Outlook people you saved the day. Someone needs to tell Apple. They are desperately trying to solve this problem. Thank you!
