Yeah, I think that's right, and if you are buying an $80 case the shipping should be free. I'm just one of those people who hates paying retail, so if I HAVE to buy direct, then at least give me free shipping (on any case order). Odds are if there is a problem, I'm the one who's going to have to pay to ship it back.
SwitchEasy was actually good about sending replacements to me (though I had to hunt down my order in PayPal history since they don't seem to keep my order history themselves), but after the third iPad case replacement in a two month period, I just got a full refund. Cheap plastics and a real drop in quality, I won't be buying another of their cases again. Speck Pixelskin HD for the iPhone has long been my go to case now, though I may consider a Lifeproof for my 2012 iPhone (it's done a fantastic job protecting my wife's iPhone 4s). The recessed connector port is the biggest drawbacks for me since I use a car cradle. I also wish they'd find a way to make a transparent version so you could appreciate the design of the actual phone. For the iPad I'm currently just using an inexpensive Leather folio case that has held up very well (Poetic makes very similar ones.) I'm considering Lifeproof's Nuud case for the iPad once it's available, but what I really want is a keyboard case, as I tend to use my iPad for EVERYTHING nowadays and typing anything longer than a sentence or two more than a little annoying.
I know this thread is dated but I have this case and I love it. My phone has already been saved from sure destruction (and water damage) twice. I'm thrilled to hear they're working on an iPad version.
Really wish I had invested in one of these cases before my son's 3GS was water damaged. Just don't have $199 right now to replace it through insurance. I really hate that beause before then he had take perfect care of it over the last year without as much as scratch put on it
mine did the same thing I was curious do you need your receipt even if you register for the 1yr warranty? Sent from my iPhone 4 using iCafe app
I bought my case about a month ago and I was informed that the warranty applies on the case only purchased through authorized dealer. I bought my case from AT&T store which started to carry the case. Does anyone know if AT&T is an authorized dealer? Sent from my iPhone 4 using iCafe app
Yes AT&T is an authorized reseller. http://support.lifeproof.com/custom...res-carry-lifeproof-products-and-accessories-
thanks for the response. Glad to hear that cause I get 50% off all accessories at AT&T except for beats headphones and apple OEM. The reason I bought the case was I only paid $40 for it at AT&T Sent from my iPhone 4 using iCafe app
Has anyone seen a release date on the Otterbox armor? Its supposed to be waterproof, dustproof and crushproof up to 2 tons http://www.otterbox.com/armor-series/armor-series,default,pg.html I have always been a Otterbox fan because of the work i do but I do like the looks of this Lifeproof case though.
According to Otterbox, on their Facebook page, the Armor series case is STILL in development. No known eta of a release. I'm betting a few months at least. They screwed up big time having a June release date, which was only for the video / specs of the case.
Yeah i agree, and if they don't get on the ball they may be losing a customer now that ive seen the lifeproof
