Lol Just flipping u some.... Well you know lol. Gave me time to come up with a story instead of being caught off guard.
When people try to tell you something, but you don't understand what they just said, and they only repeat the very last part when you tell them you didn't understand. Now you're stuck with that and you either ask again or take a chance: "goingmh, fhyvjgjni jhhbf, car" Me:what? Dude: car. Ok thanks!
That the cheapest version of Windows 7 is $200. I got Best Buy to price match it down to $182, but that's still ridiculous. Lion is only $30. It's no wonder that Apple is now worth more than Microsoft and Google combined. It also chaps my hide that I didn't invest in Apple in the 90s.
If you were local I'd have sold you my sealed/unused copy. I thought you're all Mac. Really, I'm puzzled, you have a PC???
Some people, myself included, like to have Windows on their Mac alongside Mac OS. And some, myself included also, have a PC as well; in my case, a Sony Vaio.
I have an iMac and a Sony Viao that's running Ubuntu. I had a MacBook and an HP Desktop, but I sold both of them a couple months ago since I rarely used them. I need to do a work module that only works with IE. You can only run the older version of IE on OS X. I plan of putting Windows 7 on the iMac with Boot Camp.
That's correct. I prefer Boot Camp, though, since it doesn't divide the hardware capability between both operating systems, which makes the OS smoother and faster.
How much space did you put on the Windows partition? I'll probably install it tomorrow. I have a 1 TB Mac, but I'm only planning on using 60 GB for the Windows partition since I won't be using it very often. I don't plan on installing any games. Does 60 sound good? Also, I used to use Kaspersky on my PC, but I'm just planning on using Microsoft Security Essentials this time since I've heard great things about it and it's free.
I also use AVG in combination with MSE. It's also free. Some other effective ways to avoid virals is in having the savy to ignore suspect attachments and URLs, task kill agressive popups (versus hitting the offered close button) and showing the extensions to give clues to file type. Can you image the VM after it's first set so you've a worst case recourse?
Worst case, you would just restore from your last Time Machine backup (they are done automatically every hour). The Windows partition doesn't backup to Time Machine.
For me, 60GB is just fine, even when I install a large game or two. Since you won't really play any games or install any large-size software, 60GB will be more than enough. And yes, Microsoft Security Essentials is great, I've never had to use any security software alongside it. The free version of AVG is nice and small, though, if you want.
That amber portwood made 140,000$ for a six month contract with MTV. All for being a dumb teen that got pregnant and allowed cameras to follow her. How many of us make that in a year more less six months. Ridic.... wait for it.... ulous.
Just realized I broke the end off of my favorite headphones when I dropped my iPad on it's side last night. Pretty glad I only spent $80 on them so I don't feel as bad about buying them again.
