My mom has an iPod touch 2g and its about 2 years old i think. I'm having problems with the accuracy of its battery. Sometimes it's 80% charged then all of a sudden it'll be down to 47%. I already tried calibrating the battery twice. And also sometimes when i charge it at 20% for example, the battery icon shows that its already full charged. Very weird

Is there a way to fix the battery's accuracy? Thanks!

Some say let it completely drain down till it shuts off. This should recalibrate the battery/percentage meter. I have tried this on my older touches and still have this same issue. It will show fully charged, but as soon as I remove from the power source will fall to 93%. The battery life on both my 2g and 3g ipods is dismal...I need to invest in solar charging packs to keep my kids entertained!!!
