Well today after returning from Manhattan i come to find out my phone is not ringing whenever i receive a call, I checked the settings/volume/vibrate switch and everything seems to be intact and how they just were when my phone use to ring, I havent installed no programs lately also, its just out of no where it would not ring.

But say if i set the ringer to Marimba, It would play the sample noise. So therefore i know the speakers are work perfectly.

    Any Help here?

    Thanks

Simple fix. Go into Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. Done.

if that doesnt work, stick the headphones in the jack a few times in and out...
if you were listening to music and pull the jack out..sometimes the phone is stuck in headphone mode....
    give it whirl...let us know..

Just to butt in here, I would do the headphone thing before the reset thing, seeing as how it's much less intrusive. But by all means, if that doesn't work, do the reset. It doesn't take that long to go through settings and put them back where you want.

I need help along these lines.. Iphone 3GS, sounds work ie.. text msg, ring tones.. but ipod songs won't play.. If I plug in headphones it plays. Apple had me update to newest software.. didn't correct problem.. I tried the headphone thing, didn't fix either. Quirky thing is that when I am testing a sound (ringtone) the volume buttons on the side activate the bell ringer and move up or down, but in itunes, only the bell shows up.. the tool bar that moves sound up or down is missing from the display. HELP

I would try the same fix with reset all settings. If that doesn't work, then doing an actual restore of the phone might be in order, but since you said the volume slider is missing, that leads me to think that you might have something in the dock connector that is making it act like it's dock for external speakers.
If I dock my iphone in my car, and open the iPod app, I do not have a slider. The output volume is disabled & set to a "standard" volume limit.
GENTLY clean the port with some canned air or mini electronics vacuum and see if that helps.
