Ever sense i downloaded i05 and and then I downloaded i06 my iPhone 3GS will not pick up my wi-fi In any other part of my house it will only pick up my wi-fi if I'm in the same room as my wireless router which is in my family room smh it's been doing this for a long time and I would really love to get this straightened out,I have already replaced my router so that is not the problem please someone (help)
Reset network settings. Should do the trick. If not try a restore as a last resort. If I was a betting man, and I am, I would bet the reset of network settings will work wonders.
Is the router located on an upper level or a lower, such as, basement level. I've often heard that you can get better coverage when the router/antenna is higher. Also look for other electronic interference sources such as the humble microwave oven. The composition of the intervening walls/floors can attenuate your signal strength as well. You might benefit from setting your router to broadcast on another channel versus the default most people use. Back in my XP laptop days, I had an app that detected the various wifi networks in my general area. Such an app can show network names, type of security, channel, and strength at your site. YMMV
