Push Notification would be perfect. I honestly do not know how much more i could wait. I used to say that I was happy, but I'm not anymore. I need MMS cause there has been many moments where I could have used it but didn't have it. Push is a BIG one for me cause I like to chat. If things don't get resolved quick That new At&t Fuze is looking pretty promising.

I for one am not very excited about FW 2.2.

    - New look for the Safari with the Google search bar now occupying its own space on the title bar - Do not care about this. I am FINE with just clicking the magnifying class to search, has never slowed me down. I am actually kind of upset about this since the address bar will no longer be in the center.
    - Toggle On / Off to disable the auto-correction - I have never needed auto correction off.
    - 461 Japanese emoji icons - Yeah, good for Japan I guess. I could not care less.
    - Support for new languages. - I'm good with English.
    - Line-in audio is activated and can be used through the headphone jack. - Could be interesting for musicians or something, although I have never felt the need to record something in stereo onto my iPhone.
    - Google Street View, Google Transit information - Routes public transport, Walking directions, Location sharing. - This could actually be cool, though it seems like a cop-out of real voice guided GPS that all of us badly want. For that reason, this new feature kind of upsets more than gets me excited.
    - App Store: 'Categories' now shows the icons of the applications instead of the list, In each page of the application has been added by a button 'Tell A Friend' & 'Report A Problem', Added the possibility of scoring the application when the user chooses to delete from the device, Added the possibility for direct downloading of podcasts from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store. - I don't care about the category icons, makes no difference to me at all, nor the Tell a Friend or Report a Problem. I think forcing users to rate the app upon deletion is a HORRIBLE idea as it will create a much bigger influx of negative reviews than positive ones (since you probably don't like it if you are deleting it). And I've never downloaded a podcast in my life.

I could be the minority here, but all this extra stuff completely bores me. Let me beat the very dead horse already and say that Apple should have spent all the time they spent on all this to developing copy/paste.

I couldn't agree more with you Wild. None of these features are going to do anything for me. (except maybe irritate).
Seriously, the only things I want to see are copy/paste ( and we know how that goes) and maybe something useful like "Smart" location services that turns off when you close a program that uses it. We all know that location Services is a battery drain. Hell, it killed my V1 which has NO communication abilities at all, and it was the only thing running. A day and a half is all the phone lasted before Location Services killed it. It doesn't need to be on all the time. So "Smart " location Services, maybe with a list of apps in location services that you can grant or deny access to. I don't want my camera to access location services, but if I was using GPS and happen to want to take a pic, I have to answer that stupid pop-up.

Oh I hate that too! Now whenever I have someone take my picture they always say, "Hey it is asking something about using your location?" and I just roll my eyes and tell them to just say no. I am not a world traveler, I don't need to "geo-tag" my photos or whatever it is.

And just so you know, as far as I know, the location services already are "smart" and turn off once you return to the home screen. Is it really running all the time?

I'm with you guys. The only thing these extra features are good for is more bugs.

what i would love to see is a couple of 2.1.x releases... at least make me THINK you're working on little things like lag, battery life, safari crashes, etc.

I know, I can't believe they haven't released any 2.x.x releases, those used to come every couple weeks, it was nice.

As far as these new 2.2 features, I have been on iPhone message boards for hundreds and hundreds of hours in the past year and a half, and I have never heard of anyone requesting any of the new things they are implementing except maybe turning off auto-correction maybe one time from one person, although I've never cared for that. Who is in charge of choosing what gets put in? They need to be fired.

More than turning off auto-correction I'd like to see them give me the option of adding words to their incomplete dictionary. Every time I try to write "hell" it tries to correct it to he'll, not to mention the numerous slang words a college kid like me uses on an hourly basis. Those app store additions are LAME! The language thing, I don't care now, they already came out with my language on the first 2.0 release, but I guess it's good for others so I won't complain about that. As for cut and paste, I'm at a loss for words there.

How about "kinda" always going to "kinds", I can't stand that one.

As far as what I've seen, yes location services runs all the time in the background. When it ran down my V1, it lasted a day and a half with 5hours and 15 minutes of usage. Like I said before, the communication board is completely dead and the only thing on at all was location services. That's still not 100% proof, but if it is true, it really really sucks.

add voice dial and I'd be perfect. Major PITA to push home button, swipe then find the name and tap it, all while driving. Damn how I miss my BB's push a button on the headset or phone and say "call home" and that's it. Still amazes me how many free phones can do it but Apple can't?

Have you not seen "Say Who" yet? It's a great free app that does voice dialing really well, you just open the app, hold a button, and say a name. It then finds the name and dials it automatically. I personally don't need it really but I still have it because I think it's cool. And if you like that, try "Say Where" which does the same thing but with addresses and businesses and then locates them in Maps for easy routing.

I agree! ... As mentioned above though, Say who does work great. Would be great if we could access it by tapping the home button 3 times. Hehehe, new iPhone firmware update "Home button multi-tap support."
