iPad 3 iPad 3 memory pinching.

    I never filled my iPad 2. But I have already filled my iPad 3 memory. I am going to delet things I rarely use but do you think it's to do with the retina display? 32GB isn't enough for me anymore it seems with the new retina display. Looks like I'll be going 64GB next year.

    There are certainly at least certain types of apps where sizes have increased substantially due to retina support. Then again, not all apps are updated for it yet. How much music have you got on it? Also, have you looked at Settings > General > Usage to see which apps are chewing up the most space?

    The thing that killed my memory most was asphalt 6 and video. I had 16.3GB of HD video. I think I'm going to opt for the 64GB or more if Apple make more next year

    Maybe I should be concerned, having a 16GB and all...I don't put any music on this device, as I have a 64GB iPhone for that, but still...

    I never thought about the retina apps taking 4x the room, too...
