Hopefully it's not only true but it also means we'll be getting a dedicated turn by turn navigation app!

I agree. Maps application and turn-by-turn navigation is one of the only things I feel Android beats iPhone at and I miss from when I had my old Droid. (there are many more things that I do not miss). Please bring us turn-by-turn nav as good as Android, Apple! :)

Yes Apple is dropping Google Map... I read it in an article... Today June 11 is the date of important announcement ... Let's hope for the best. Apple seems to be launching their own maps.... Also there is rumour of announcing new iPhone5 in the meeting by CEO Tim Cook.

It looks cool but I don't know if it will work in the UK. Siri doesn't work for locations here. :( Hopefully Siri will work in iOS 6.

After watching the keynote, I could gather that Siri local search will work internationally now. I really doubt Apple will ditch Google Maps if their own isn't ready.

I can't wait to try these new features!

Since Siri will be integrated in the new Maps app, it should work for international locations.

Any word about if the Apple Maps app will work on iOS 5.X and/or downloadable from the App Store? Pretty much been waiting for turn by turn nav for more than a year...

I doubt Apple will do that. They are using the new Maps in iOS 6 as one of the main upgrades so as the people who want it will HAVE to upgrade.

Only thing iPhone is missing is an expandable memory port! Come on Apple give us a microSD port already!!!

I'm not the only one who wants a SD port.... If Apple would add a SD port they would jump 10 more stars on reviews!! I still want as much mrmory onboard as I can afford but you have to admit storing video and movies on SD is better you never have to delete just swap cards. I don't know about yall but my iPhone has pretty much replaced my laptop. In fact in the last 4 months all I've done on a computer is backup my iPhone and made a DVD of my sis-in-laws wedding. But I would still like a macbook pro for my collection.

I agree would love it but with them focusing on the cloud I am sure they figure we can move things there and delete the pictures and vids off of the phone

I just don't ever see the iPhone having a SD slot...ever. They don't want foreign devices on the iphone that could cause problems. And I agree. I still use my laptop everyday for work but I don't store movies at all. My eyes would die from watching them on my phone! lol

That's why I was saying that you might as well change phones as I highly doubt the iPhone will ever get a SD slot
