So now ALL my custom ringtones are working properly. I had a duplicate contact that I only noticed when an incoming call said "Anne or Anne ABC is calling..." Deleting the duplicate contact allowed the custom ringtone for that contact to play.
You people are snobs. So what, if the question annoys you, don't effing answer it. Some people just are new at this. BTW, Mobil Spin is a website that does all the work for you and its free. The only caveat is for some reason, I had to manually sync my phone to keep them on there at first. Later on, they seemed to stay. I really don't understand why that happened, but it wasn't a big deal.
Guys can I just say that as far as using search button on how 2 use own music 4 ringtone, led me here to this website. I am totally new 2 anything apple & the tutorials are not easy 2 follow, this site is great 4 us newbies. I still have 2 say that iPhone interface is not user friendly, everything has 2 b programmed in & many things are archaic in function, I know u apple die Garda will slaughter me 4 sayin that, but, hey, it's true. In the interest of plain speaking, why can't apple just allow an option 2 set our music as ringtone, at touch of button, their competitors can, on do! And no, before you hand, draw & quarter me, I'm not an android fan, got stuck with android phone 4 24mnth contract hated it, but apple cud take few tips! Downloading ur own ringtone on iPhone is archaic! Sorry guys
Wonder why you can use any tune on your phone for alarm tone but not ringtone. Making tones is easy enough in iTunes, but why Apple make us have to do that is a mystery. I refuse to buy PART of a song when you get the WHOLE song cheaper in iTunes Sent using iCafe app
