    Hi,

I was wondering does anyone have the same problem? I normally will send continuous messages to a friend, maybe about 5 text's a day. It's been awhile now about 3 weeks.

Normally, my iPhone will keep the sent text's in order, example

    Day 1 : 5 texts
Day 2 : 5 texts and so on

Now, my text's on Day 1 disappears as I continue to send my text's.

Any help here? Hopefully, everyone understands my description.

    Thank you for helping.

They shouldn't disappear unless you're deleting them on purpose. Is your phone jailbroken? Or is your phone running out of storage space?

Mine's a 3Gs, recently just jailbroke it with Spirit, everything's fine except for the messages. It's freaky. No, I definitely didn't delete it, it just disappears. I still got 10.6GB space. Thank you for helping. Still haven't figured it out yet, was wondering does anybody else have this problem.

I don't have that problem... if you've just recently restored and jailbroke... I might try it again before you start adding a bunch of apps. Might have been a bad restore. You're using the native SMS app right? I know this was an issue with people using Fring a while back.

I've tried restoring it twice, everything else is fine except for the messages. Yes, mine's a Native SMS app. Nope, I don't use Fring, heard about the problems and didn't wanna try it. Thank you for helping me. Really appreciate it.

Did you restore from a backup?

Restoring to factory settings should fix this problem.

Hi Europa, I restored it twice to factory and redid everything. It is only the messages that is bugging me. Thanks.

This is the first I've heard of something like this for the native SMS app. If restoring to factory didn't work it might be worth calling AT&T about (not Apple). I don't see how it would be hardware based at all. Have you tried using your phone freshly restored "without" jailbreaking for a while to see if that solves it?

Thank you KrakaJap, at first I thought so also but looks like I would have to check with my service provider. Thank you for clarifying that it is not my phone.

:) Well I wouldn't rule it out completely, I just highly doubt it's hardware related. Sorry I couldn't help more... maybe someone else will be able to give you better ideas. I've searched around but it seems this is a first. I'm not aware of any limitations to the SMS app either (as far as history).

Just out of curiosity... how far back does your history go? Is it literally only 5 txts or more?

It started disappearing a few days ago after I jailbroke it. At first I didn't notice it but now I do.
My messages goes way back to I would say about early March with 5 texts daily. You think there is any limitations?

If I remember correctly there's a 75000 message limit... so unless you're a txt'ing fiend you should be fine. :p And you're talking about 5 txts per conversation right? Or do you mean 5 total conversations?

Yup, only 5 text messages on a daily basis. Hopefully everything will be alright. Truly appreciate all your help. Thank you.
