    The scarlet carson roses used in V for Vendetta are really violet carsons, which are real roses named after Violet Carson, who played the hairnet-wearing Ena Sharples in the long-running British soap opera Coronation Street. This holds special nostalgic significance for me because my parents and I would watch it in the evenings in England back in the 60s. Sometimes I feel so old.

    I had the accent. Regretfully, I tried very hard to lose it when I came here. My ex used to tell me that whenever I got really upset or angry the accent would pop out pretty clearly.
