Hey eiC'ers. I looked for a Thread that lists the newest Apps we've purchased or had gifted to us. I couldn't find a thread like that where we all can participate in so I figured I would make it.

In this thread, list the latest coolest Apps, games or otherwise, you're purchased or had gifted to you. Include a picture of it and recommendation if you want. Include a link to it if you can. Wait, is that against the rules? IDK . Okay, if it's against the rules, don't put the link to it in your post.

This might be yet another GR8 way to discover new exciting Apps that you would have never found otherwise.

    So, I'll start.

I was on the Staff Favorites section of iTunes and came across this App: Life Logger.

It's a great app. very simple and to the point. I have been looking for something like this for a while where I could list events by date under an area of its own.

After getting it I did a little research and found others similar to it, but they were old and had not been updated in a while with bad reviews two to two and 1/2 stars at best. So I think I purchased a pretty good Logging app. So Far I love it.

I only wish I had the option to pull appointments and events from my calendar and populate the App with them.

    Partial description:
It's a simple multi-subject logger. You can create various topics, then add related events/information in each topic.

May sound boring, but it is quite functional and will help me keep better track of stuff.
For example, I should get my nails done every two weeks, but I haven't been doing that. $ and time are an issue so I go every three weeks to once a month and sometimes I have to go back through my banking App to see when the last time it was I had been there. I hate that. With this App I have a Nail Appointments in 2012 Topic and in it I will list every date I went to get my nails done, what exactly I had done and how much it cost. You can add notes to each entry and pictures. So this is going to be fun and functional.

This will be helpful because there will be one place to look for this information. Not my Chase banking App. Not my calendar that I sometimes don't bother to put the appointment in and when I have Siri do it, it's great but then I have to go back and search the calendar. With this App, there is no searching anything. Just click on the Topic and everything will be listed, (provided I put it in - and I will)

    Thanks SunnySweet!

I though this might be a good way to keep abreast of new and or useful Apps.

It's too hard to do it alone. There are too many Apps and sometimes it's hard to find what you're looking for. We could all help each other with this thread.

Don't recall who, but someone recommended I.TV to add your favorite tv shows. You can set up alerts when new shows are airing. The app is free.

Oooh! I got this app a few months ago and I paid for it. It is a good App. It helped me to learn that my NY Times App was running even when I didn't have it on. IDK why that was happening but I actually had to use this App to close it.

Thanks for mentioning this App. Glad it's free now!

I don't know where it's getting its data from, but it's telling me Skype is running while I am not signed in at all. Skype also reappears in the process list a few seconds after I tell it to kill everything, which is as far as I know not something an app can actually do (start up in the background). So, I'm wondering if this is just a placebo app.

Forgive me, but I don't understand what this does? Please explain what 'process' means, and if I use it, will this deactivate an app permanently?

Processes are things that are running on the phone/device. It won't deactivate an app, just stops it.
Like double tapping home button and stopping/ shutting down an app. I've used it a few times already. It is slow though.

It did kill all my apps running in the background, but left the icons on my multitasking bar so I thought that was cool.

Really cool app. Thanks for sharing. Perhaps a future update will kill ex-coworkers if the user provides their e-mail addresses?
