What is the everythingiCafe beta?
We are testing the functionality of forum software that is based on a completely different architecture. For the most part, forum software used on this and many sites has remained stagnant. With everythingiCafe beta, we hope our members will find an overall better user experience. By having a public beta, it allows members to get their feet wet and let us know likes, dislikes before any major transition.

Can I join everythingiCafe beta?
By all means, but you must meet certain criteria or your account will be deleted.
• You must be an existing member of everythingiCafe and have a minimum of 10 posts.
• You must use the same username used at everythingiCafe

What happens to posts made here in the beta area?
We cannot guarantee that information posted in the beta will remain if and when we migrate to the new software platform.

Is the new beta compatible with the iPhone app?
No, not at this time.

I (like, do not like) the colors.
What you see is temporary. Look for consistent refinements over the coming weeks.

Can I solicit help for an iPhone question or create a new topic related to the iPhone?
I'd prefer you post all iPhone related topics in the current forum. This will ensure that you're post remains through any transition.

Where can I let you know about a suggestion I have for the new forum?
Sure, post it in the suggestions forum.

I have a question, where do I post it?
Please keep all questions in the beta forum. I also plan a line of video tutorials on how to use the new board software.

I'm not a fan of the new software, what if I like the old software?
Let us know in the beta feedback forum. No guarantees either way, but your feedback will help aid in my decision.

I enjoy the beta, can I hang out here instead of the regular forums?
Well, that would be good news, but I still hope all of you taking part in the beta will still visit the main site.

When will we know if and when there will be a switch?
This won't happen overnight. This software is beta and there are a number of considerations before making such a big move.

The everythingiCafe beta is open. However, you'll need to send me a PM if you want check it out. As a reminder, you'll need to be an active member here with 10 posts. Additionally, you'll need to create a new account solely for the purpose of testing the beta. All posts, accounts in the beta will likely be deleted at the conclusion of the beta. If/When we migrate to the new software, your current accounts and posts will transfer to the new software.
