Here is a method of downgrading from your iOS 5.1 to 5.0.1 and prior. IF you have saved previous SHSH blobs, it works. I don't have my previous SHSH blobs and I can't downgrade.

I thought this might be helpful to those who CAN go back to 5.0.1 and the jailbreak.

After a few days of research and help from iphonewarrior (don't kill me), I have my phone downgraded to 5.0.1 and jail broken. I had to use tinyumbrella to obtain a SHSH blob. The previous post is still valid IF you are able to get a SHSH blob.

Doesn't work on a 4S from what I'm reading? What phone did you downgrade? I have 5.0.1 and it's jailbroken but the power button on the top of my iPhone stopped working. I have to push soooo hard for it to register. To the point where my finger hurts... So I need to take it back under the warranty but I'm scared I'll get a new phone with 5.1... I really don't want to go back to not being JBroking.

Are you using a Mac or a PC? I can not get it to work with my HP desktop :( (tinyumbrella that is)
