My daughter has a friend from Norway who lived in the US from 2010-2011 as a foreign exchange student. She had an iPhone which she got from AT&T on the 2 year contract price, but when she left the US, she paid the early termination fee. She hasn't been able to get service on it in Denmark due to the fact that it's locked by AT&T. She's back in the US for a couple of weeks, but when she called AT&T a couple days ago to see about getting it unlocked, she was told that it couldn't be unlocked because it was less than 2 years old, even though she had paid the early termination fee. Does anyone know anything more about this? I looked on AT&Ts website, and it seemed to indicate she should be eligible for the unlock since she paid the ETF. Anyone?
