AT&T smtp server?

    My broadband cable company (Insight in Columbus OH) will not allow me to send email (smtp) outside their network. I currently have my iPhone set to use Yahoo for sending but I don't like the advertisement Yahoo puts at the bottom. Does AT&T offer a smtp server to send mail from the iPhone?

    EDIT: PS I'm looking for a FREE smtp server........I already pay plenty for broadband service and cell phone service!

    Gmail Works Great!!!!

    Gmail by Google is free and works just fine. It's configuration is also preloaded on the iPhone...M

    I had the same problem but soon I found simple solution for outgoing emails it's smtp.com best service and just few baks) Try it!:2cool:

    At&t smtp server

    I just set up an smtp server thru the ipone using the preloaded smtp from at&t. It was found in the "other outgoing servers" at the bottom, turn it 'on'. This is shown as cwmx.com. The others were turned off.

    I used this server after finding that at&t blocked stmp.tconl.com server (port 25) for my new ISP. The incoming port is still what I setup (pop3.tconl.com).

    I was surprised that I had this problem, and then was even more surprised to find it works and how it worked.
