iPhone 5 Anyone Else Unlock There iPhone 5?

I decided to get it unlocked via a ebay user for $6 today.I decided to do it before the carriers try to put a stop or something and for $6 why not give it a go.

Yea it was I payed $9.74 on eBay to unlock my 4s this was even cheaper $6.48 eBay user unlock_fusion

I didn't know it was so cheap to do this. I'm gonna unlock my 64GB 4S then sell it. Thanks for the info. By the way...the phone doesn't have to be currently activated, does it?

No it doesn't just get it unlocked pop your SIM card In and restore in iTunes you should see the picture I posted above.

That's pretty cool. I don't know why I'd need to unlock it since I am obligated to stick with ATT for two years. I guess it would be good if I was going to Europe though.

I bought the unlock for my 4S. I already submitted my IMEI# and now I'm just waiting for the email telling me I'm unlocked. Also went and swapped out the phone today under warranty and got a new cable under warranty, too.

I should be able to bank when I sell this phone now. Unlocked 64GB 4S, basically brand new. Brand new OEM headphones, brand new USB cable. Original box. Can't wait to put it on Craigslist now!

I sold my unlocked 4s 16gb for $380 so you should get like $420 for yours.

So what happens if you have to swap your iPhone 5 for a warranty issue. Do you lose your unlock since it's phone specific?

I emailed the seller but no response yet.

Is it possible to buy a factory unlocked iPhone from Apple in NYC? My Dad is going to NY on Friday and I would like him to buy me an unlocked iPhone 5.

Or does anyone know a certain store/shop that sells contract-free Verizon iPhone 5s, for instance, or factory unlocked ones?

I heard if you buy a att iPhone at full price all you have to do is take it home and do the restore and you bill be greeted with the "congratulations your iPhone is u locked screen".

all Verizon iphone 5 are unlocked (they bought LTE spectrum under the provision they can not lock it)
unless you are using LTE you should be better of with the Verizon version
