$50 off AT&T

Called up AT&T on Friday and told them about this coupon code http://dealnews.com/deals/AT-T-coupon-50-off-with-2-year-contract/173335.html
At first they said they wouldn't except it, but then I pointed out that it doesn't say anything about not applying to new iPhone accounts. Then they applied it as a credit to my bill.

Will they do that if we bought the phone from the Apple Store, and not from the AT&T store?

mine was an apple store buy not att.

I just called about the $50 discount and AT&T said that they couldn't apply the code because it states in the iPhone contract and also on Apples websites that there are no discounts aloud.
Congrats to those this works for. If you have some advice so I can get it to work let me know.

i called just now, and they said it was for the media mall... probably some bullsh*t CSR trying to keep me from applying the code. she said go here (wireless.att.com/mediamall) and activate it!

Since I can't log into my ATT account I can't activate it. However, I did try calling and the lady told me absolutely no discounts with the Iphone. I told them the coupon did not stipulate what phone she said that did not matter.

anyone have a pdf or other copy of the actual coupon?

Does this apply if you were an existing customer and just extended your contract?

Got the 50 bucks!!

I called after seeing this thread and attempted to get the discount. I was told that the phone is an Apple product and therefore no discounts --- BUT - AT&T would be glad to deduct the 50 bucks from my bill!! So give 'em a call and give it a try! It is for new contracts only from what I was told (of course who knows for sure right?)

Either way - 50 bucks is 50 bucks! Better in my pocket than theirs.

oh how I wished this would work for me. I just got off the phone with them and the rep said she wasn't aware of any new customer/contract promotions and couldn't apply anything towards my account. I gave her the coupon code, but this didn't help. Good luck to anyone else that tries. If it works, please let me know what you said/did to help.

I just called them and they would not give me the $50 off because it does not apply to iPhones, I guess you guys just all got lucky when you called. :frown:
