Hi I have two iphones, obviously separate numbers but just recently i have been getting texts on one phone that are meant for the other. I think at some point I have synced them on the same itunes but does anyone have any idea how i can stop this happening please?

If you have them setup with the same iTunes ID you need to change one of them. Additionally, you can look at the "Messages" setting. Go in to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and see what "addresses" are set up for creating and sending messages. I would venture that they both have the same email address setup.

Having the same iTunes Account should not present a problem. However they do need to have separate iCloud accounts and ID's.

Yes, it's likely iMessage syncing to the same numbers and/or email addresses. I have my 4S on another line and my 5 on my main one, but set them up to sync so it doesn't matter which one I grab to use, everything sends from the same number and everything is shown on both phones.
