I've been following several developments today and I think it's safe to say 1.1.3 is now jailbroken. It's not released to the public yet, and some are saying it might be held up till the SDK is released (to prevent Apple from doing something to thwart it). But it appears done!

Another person, says it'll be released when trimmed down:

    "1.1.3 Jailbroken!

As I always thought, the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.

iPhone-elite and the best crew of the first dev-team joined forces (from 1 month).

And results are finally coming out of our rotten brains :)

1.1.3 Firmware has been Jailbroken !

Details will follow when the procedure will be trimmed down.
At the moment is not something anyone can do."

So while it's not out yet publicly, it's time for me to feed the pigeon!
    UPDATE! New info posted here:

Hey Mike - have you got the Official Time from point of your 'It will not be broken' statement to announcement of jailbreak - in the region of 48 hours???

Well I'm happy to report it's well under 48 hours! I may have broken my "1.1.1 can't be jailbroken" record. Life is good.

huh? you cant come back to jailbroken if your on 1.1.3... i think.. do you need a 1.1.2 phone jailbroken for this? is it gonna be similar to oktoprep?

The idea seems to be that by not releasing it between now and SDK release, they don't give Apple a chance to see it, respond to it, break it before then. So you get SDK plus jailbreak when it releases.

No -- it means jailbroken, which is an entirely different process.

I think the point is that Apple won't be able to get their hands on the actual jailbreak process until then.
