Default ziphone question

if i were to use zipphone to try and jailbreak my phone would it become unlocked??

i do not want this and i want to be able to restore and/or update with out my spiffy phone becoming a spiffy brick

Ziphone gives you 5 choices (copied straight from the startup screen):
  • Do it all! (Unlock, Jailbreak, and activate)
  • Don't Unlock (Jailbreak and activate only)
  • Jailbreak (Best choice for 'official' carriers)
  • Jailbreak iTouch (Jailbreak an iPod Touch)
  • Refurbish (Erase baseband-restore will replace locks)

I used option three, 'Jailbreak' today on my AT&T phone and all is fab.

Yeah if you use the method Ohmester said your phone will not unlock and you will still be using AT&T.
