Default VNSea Help!

Call me a dummy, but I have no idea of the server information I'm supposed to put into the fields after I tap on the + sign in VNSea. What am I supposed to put in to get started and where do I find that information? I'm not good with network stuff. Sorry to sound like such an idiot, but this is how I learn.

ok is simple, u know that u need to have the vnc software running in u pc ex. Ultra vnc, if u do good. Iphone settings name: u can put any name u want, address: this would be u internal or external ip address, internal means that u are in home network, external outside u network, to find u internal ip address in u pc go to start>run>type cmd> then on the dark screen type ipconfig and hit enter, internal ip most of the time start with 192.168. To find out u external ip browse this address whatismyip.com. Ok going back to the iphone vnc seetings on the password u need to put down the password u choose on the vnc setting on u computer, the rest u can leave the way it is. Hope this help have fun this is a good application, if u have any more questions just ask thats why we all here to help each other out. Good luck.

I think the fact that I have Windows Vista has something to do with all the problems I'm having. I've attached a picture that shows this error message that keeps popping up every few minutes, even when I've uninstalled the software for VNSea and did a system restore to restore the computer to an earlier point. I don't get why this error keeps popping up.

I need to get this annoying error message taken care of first, then I can start all over to figure out how to get this thing working.

Thanks for all your help. I'll probably be asking something else tomorrow, but right now, I am so frustrated that I probably just need to stop everything and come back to this later when I'm a little less pissed off about the whole thing.

Okay, I'm at the point where I have Ultra VNC installed on my computer. On the VNSea on my phone, it's asking for a password. What password? Where am I supposed to get that from on my computer? I don't see anything about it in Ultra VNC.

open ultra vnc on u computer, they should be a setting that say Authentication and on the bottom it says VNC Password, put in any password of u preference, use same password for VNSea on you iphone.

Okay, I think it's connecting because my computer responds to it. There's only one problem. Whenever I put in the password on my phone and then try to connect, my computer says, "A recent attempt to attack your computer was blocked," by my Norton Antivirus. How do I get it to allow this without leaving my computer vulnerable to other types of intrusions?

Okay, never mind. I got it to stop popping up that error message. But now I'm having ANOTHER problem. (Something just doesn't want me to get this thing working!!)

I've submitted a picture of what it's showing whenever I try to connect with my iPhone. I put in the password, already. I don't get it!

I just farted around with this app earlier today and didn't have any problems. Are you using a password that is greater than 8 characters? That is a no no. I used 'TightVNC' as my VNC host. This is a very simple and free program that requires minimal configuration and has worked perfectly for me, I would suggest maybe giving that a try. Also, if you are behind a firewall you will have to forward the port VNC uses to the IP of the system that is hosting the session. By default, the port VNC uses is 5900. You may have to also do some Vista specific things (if you are running Vista with User Account Control turned on) to get VNC to work, namely running the host program as Administrator. Good luck.
