time capsule

well for some reason my computer will recognize my iphone, but won't allow me to sync to it. an error message pops up when i plug it in so i think i'm gonna have to do a complete restore. my question is this, how should i use time capsule? do i just back everything up it allows me to, and email it to my computer, restore, then rejailbreak, and then what do i do? i've never done it before, but i installed it just in case something like this happened. anyone with experience i would love to hear from. thanks in advance.

Just as you've said. Choose to backup everything in Timecapsule that seems appropriate / relevant for you, mail it to yourself, and then when you restore and re-jailbreak, just install Timecapsule again and restore as needed.

Couple little things - maybe make sure you update Timecapsule to latest version right now, as that will show you all the latest options for backup. If you need to restore webclips, the item will not automatically show up after a restore. You'll need to create one new webclip after the restore so a /webclips folder gets created for Timecapsule to see - then it will show you that item.

so i'm having a hell of a time with timecapsule. i restored and jailbroke my phone. downloaded all the files that i made using timecapsule onto my laptop. so i open ssh, and the first time i attempted to drag all the files into the appropriate folders, but then timecapsule would just crash. so i figured i screwed it up since you can only do one file backup at a time using the free version. so i restored and jailbroke again, installed everything i could, and now i just used ssh to add the installer file i made to the installer folder, go to open it up on the iphone and same thing, it crashes.

only thing i can think of that is different is i don't have screwcommon installed, but would that really make a difference? for some reason i can't find it in installer either (all my sources are backed up using timecapsule haha) so if someone could list the source for screwcommon i appreciate it.
