Stay away from 'Kate' - Page 4

Just because you install Kate does not mean your iphone is dead. I installed it and it was fine. the only reason I uninstalled is because it was pretty useless.

i installed Kate a few weeks back with no issues. Although i ran into a conflict when i installed Vwallpaper. A lot of the same issues everyone has stated in this post. I ended up doing a restore and even reinstalled Kate without any issues since though I dont dare use Vwallpaper with Kate. Just wanted to share my expierence. I might still uninstall Kate seeing how many people are having issues.

I beleive my conflict occured when i turned off the wallpaper under Rip Dev settings. As soon as i did that my phone crashed.

If you have it and face no issues, fine. I'm just warning everybody, my phone was completely inoperable and it took me several hours to get it to respond and get to DFU.

I know what u mean. I spent five hrs puting my phone back together and there are certain problems I still can't work out.

4. restore it

well atleast my text msgs came back, contacts came back and calendar came back...everything else's gone...i had a proud 5 screens of applications...all gone now and must be built from a scratch...but a lesson well learnt.....

can just backup, then restore to original state , ziphone it and resync with backup??? ...please help!!

i installed kate using ziphone, and it froze, everything didnt work, and the touch sensitive screen only worked when switching pages, and entering applications, and music etc, but even then it didnt let you do anything after that. has anyone got a fix to this, as its getting really annoying, ive only just got it!!!! also, whenever i try and restore it it come up with an error, i think its "1602" please help!

Please forgive me this is my first post..

I also spent an hour this morning trying to fix the problem, lucky for me tapping the calender worked for me too, I had my iphone connected to computer at the same time, after tapping the calender few times and sliding the unlock key the sync sound peeped and it unlocked the screen!!

I then uninstalled it..

What happened on my iPhone was that the touchscreen function works only in springboard. This means that when I execute any application, the screen starts to freeze and you cannot tap anything. All you can do is to hit home button.

do this hold down the icon and you will see a X on that icon try and taping
it and it will uninstall. thank god this worked for me after this my phone was back and working.. hello my name is angel springhoffs, can you take a look at my resume,

I tried this and when I tap on X icon, a message appears "Are you sure you want to delete the bookmark "Kate"?" and I have two choices, Delete or Cancel. I choose Delete (of course) and then I got a Notice message "If you'd like to remove Kate functionality, run the Kate application first and uncheck all the checkboxes, then hit Apply. Uninstall here will only remove the installer application for Kate." and of course I couldn't choose noone of the two choices-buttons because my f***cking screen was locked from this f***ing application: KATE

...no so good solution!

While I left my iphone to the above screen for about 2-3 minutes ( I think till will lock again by it self), so I will read and type here the notice above, I heard a sound from my iphone and the screen was unlocked!!!!!!!!
