Question about apps that dont work

Hi,

I am very new(2 days) and I am having some trouble getting some apps to work. There are some apps that wont start after I install them. For instance, I installed the GRE vocab app and it does nothing. I cant even find an icon to run the program. Flashlight also does nothing. The icon is there, but when I press it, it just takes me to my home screen.

Any ideas? I am using the latest ziphone version if that matters.

i am new to this ziphone as of today but I found when I had problems I just did a reset by holding power button and home button for 6 seconds like everyone here has been mentioning.. hope im right

Be careful. There are bad apps out there. Trust me, I know from trial and error. If you have problems with one, un-install it, and forget about it. All source lists, say use at your own risk. So, just be careful.........

thats why i have learned not to upgrade to the latest firware until its fully hacked for all imperative appls.

I'd say to always look on the forum for a program your looking for...search the name in the search bar. Almost all the "good" applications will have a thread about them and if you don't fine a thread go ahead and ask if anyone else has had success using the application. This way you know ahead of time the risk your taking in downloading an application.

But yes, there are just some applications that do not work for me. It really has nothing to do which firmware, SMSNotify did not work for me on 1.1.3 and still does not work for on 1.1.4, so the whole not upgrading to the latest firmware isn't necessarily protection against apps that don't work
