Default Openssh not showing

I've installed Openssh in order to transfer files to my iphone, but it doesn't seem to show in my desktop, have tried uninstalling/reinstalling but no joy.

Is there something i'm missing...?

OpenSSH does not create a home screen icon. Easiest way to toggle it On and Off is to install the BossPrefs application ...

You also need a client application which will act as the GUI. I use fugu for mac. Here's some more info on the topic.

SSH - SSH is a means of transferring data, or files, between to devices. In the case of the iPhone, SSH can be installed by installing OpenSSH in installer, and accessing your iPhone via a SSH client on your computer. This will gives you access to your iPhone's drive.

Should you be using a Mac, use either Cyberduck or Fugu as your client.
If you are using a PC, use WinSCP.

Connecting to your iPhone via SSH:

First make sure that your iPhone is connected to the same wireless network as the computer you wish to connect to the iPhone with.

1) Open up your SSH client of choice, and open a new connection. In 'Server' or 'IP Address' you will need to input your iPhone's IP. To determine this:
• Go into Settings > WiFi.
• Find your wireless network, and tap the blue arrow next to it.
• In the 'IP' field, look at the numbers displayed. This is your IP.
Now input the IP Address into the server field in your SSH client.

2) If prompted, select 'SSH' as your connection type, or set the port to 22.

3) In the 'Username' field, input the word root.

4) In the 'Password' field, input the word alpine.

I don't know about all of the GUI's, but Fugu and SCP will show that you have logged in successfully on your computer. If it doesn't connect, the GUI should tell you that you haven't. You'll know you are in when you can browse the file system on the iPhone in the GUI. The first screen will look something like the pane on the right <click link for pic of WinSCP>. (And that is connected wireless or otherwise.)

Personally I prefer to use sbsettings to toggle SSH.

I appreciate the step by step instructions freakydeaky, but I'm still lost.

When I open WinSCP (vista) it says session at the top of the window. The fields I need to fill in are: Host name, User name, Password, and Private key file. I know User name and Password from this thread. I don't know what info to put in the other two. Also, I see no place to put an IP address.

Any help?
