Otherwise, if your problem is still on, install "boss pref" (don't uninstall "inetservices")which includes all services, install "boss pref safari download"
As "iNetServices" is on your touch, hide it with "poof" cause you have "boss pref" and now, everything's just ok!!!
OK I followed Krystal's response to the tee, even adding BossPrefs and the BossPref Safari Download. Everything is working as it should!!! However, I did have to change some permissions before it would work. I am not sure what finally did it but this is what I did: I set permission on the /system/library/Internet Plug-ins to 7777 recursively; BossPrefs to 7777 recursively and left NetServices at 0755. Interestingly, I noticed that the Safari DL plug-in changed to 0755 even after the recursive chmod to 7777 for the directory Internet Plug-ins (that should have changed the DL plug-in). Now, when I switch file sharing off I notice the DL Plugin is removed from the Internet Plug In directory and when I turn it back on it is placed back into that directory. Somehow all of that seems to do the trick. Not sure if all of this is necessary, but it works for me and I would rather not break it if it ain't broke

. Let me know if this helps you too.
I would bet this in particular will do it:
I set permission on the /system/library/Internet Plug-ins to 7777 recursively
