Dialpad doesn't work! Help

I have used iphone for almost 1 month & it worked fine until today. I tried to get to the dialpad to make phone call but the screen immediately get back to springboard. Now I can't accesss to the phone. What can I do? 3 days ago, I installed Caterpillar & uninstalled it yesterday. Not sure if this is the cause of the problem. Any solution beside doing restore?? PLease help.

Have you restarted the phone by holding the sleep/wake button until the swipe bar shows up? Most of the time when something just mysteriously stops working that will fix it.

Actually I have tried your suggestion method but it didn't work. I also used different ways & hoped that it would get back to normal. However, they didn't work neither. I already did restore & now it's okay. Anyway, thank you very much for your help!
