Does anyone have issues when clippy is on that it there is a lag when typing in safari (to we forums etc..)?

it seems to me the problem, as when I disable clippy it is ok no lag when typing.

Typing in Safari has always been sluggish.

Not just the initial delay, but worst than most times. It seems that only a respring helps as I am typing this with clippy of there is still a slight lag. Drives me crazy!!!

Try disabling Clippy with the Clippy SBSettings toggle to see if it helps.
