2.2.1 JailBreak issue at Step2 - Please Help

Hi

I have downloaded the QuickPwn application 2.2.1 and extracted all files.

I had trouble downloading the 2.2.1 ipsw as an error was reported twice. However, I have read that I dont necessarilly need this.

After starting the application and going to Step 2 (i.e. where you can Browse for the 2.2.1 ipsw) it freezes. In the search box there is already ''iPhone1,2_2.2.1_5H11_Restore.ipsw'' (next to the Browse button) and thats where my problem lies.

In the video examples I have seen, you actually have to Browse for the ipsw but mine, for some reason, is already there!

Any ideas of what I have done wrong, and how I can get past this annoying problem?

It is supposed to be there. The program looks for the most current ipsw file. You only have to browse for it if the program can't find it.

Thanks for the quick reply.

But even though it picks it up straight away it just stays on that screen...I get no tick on the iphone to say OK.

The loading icon just carries on spinning...

Sounds like whatever ipsw you have is incomplete or corrupt. Try deleting that file, then you can download one again from iTunes and try again.

Thanks, ive tried downloading it again but no joy!

i would uninstall quickpwn and try redownloading that as well, there really is no reason why it shouldn't work. also are you sure you are updated to 2.2.1 on your iphone you are attempting to jailbreak?
