This is a discussion on Rockingham Park Mall, NH for 3G release within the Official iPhone Camping Plans forums, part of the Everything iPhone category; so, i think this is where i'll head for the 3G release (at the apple store there, of course). anyone ...
so, i think this is where i'll head for the 3G release (at the apple store there, of course). anyone else in the area want to meet up there and tag team the line? of course, they have not yet announced the time and such, so all that still needs to be sorted out, but i'm all about planning early for this one.![]()

no, you should go to rockingham! seriously! sales tax in mass will be almost $20 - i'd rather spend that money on some iphone apps or music.if it goes on sale at 6:00 pm, i'll probably try to be at the mall around 2:00 or so. if it's at 8:00 am, i'll take the whole day off of work and get there as soon as the mall doors open.
okay. from what i understand, the mall doors will open at 6:00 am on friday. at this point, i'm planning on getting there for the 6:00 am door opening to get in line in front of the apple store.
anyone in the area is welcome to join in (i also posted this up on macrumors and it looks like there will be some folks from there joining in), but note that i won't be holding a spot for anyone. if you arrive at 6:00 am, you stay in line with the group, except for short potty or food breaks. if you arrive later than 6:00, you can join the group only if the people in line behind the group are okay with you essentially cutting into the line ahead of them. otherwise, you go to the end of the line at the time you arrive. i want to be fair to everyone else who arrives early and not cause any riots.![]()
I don't believe there will be a huge line in Salem. Due to the fact 3G isn't in our are yet. There was a line at V1 release but that was a different thing entirely. I'm planning on going Saturday. After I get a chance to try 2.0 on my V1 iPhone.
i do think a lot of people from massachusetts will go to the salem store though if it's closer for them and/or they want to avoid paying sales tax - that's what i'm doing. i'm finding it hard to gauge what kind of lines there will be since i think the general public knows less about the 3G iphone than they did for the first generation iphone. but i'm fine getting there early even if there are few people in line - that just means i'll get home sooner to play with my new 3G iphone!
