Anyone in Portland, OR going to camp out and if so where? I was planning on being at the Bridgeport Apple Store.

I'm in Portland! (Just registered to reply to this post).

I work downtown, so I will be keeping my eye on the Pioneer Square location. I'm wondering if the Bridgeport location will be less crazy? Or maybe even the Washington Square location.

I just can't get a gage on how crowded these places will be.

I'm scared!

Someone else!

I thought I was going to be the only one getting one of these in Portland.

I understand being nervous. Looking at these forums it is easy to think that the entire world knows and is going to be waiting but I think that we should be ok. We do have 3 Apple stores just in Portland and we have lots of ATT's. I work in NoPo so I am getting off at noon to get to Bridgeport. I thought about Washington Sq but I dont know if they will allow a line and if they dont it might be bad.

I am just glad there is some one else.

Yeah, I'm really hoping things in the Portland area will be relatively calm, and they wont completely sell out everywhere within the first few hours.

I went over to the Pioneer Square location today to check things out, and there were a lot of people in there (more than usual). I overheard at least 4 different people ask about the iPhone. Of course, most of them were asking if they could buy one (even though the window displays and graphics all over the place said the 29th). So I don't think those kinds of people will be waiting in line.

I've never been to the Bridgeport location, I'll have to go see what that one is like. I'm thinking that will be the least crowded of the 3.

On a side note, I really dig the window displays of the giant iPhones. I work for a company that makes retail window displays and graphics, so I'm kind of a geek for that stuff.

I have not seen the large displays. I work as a graphic designer so I can appreciate the design/production of the displays.

I think Bridgeport will be pretty mellow but the customer base is on the rich side so that might make it busy.

So yeah maybe I will see you on Friday. I will be at Bridgeport!

You should definitely check out the displays. They are super simple, but very well done.

I'll be sure and post here if I find any new info or hear anything about Portland.

BTW - where do you work (if you don't mind me asking)? I'm also a graphic designer.
