thread subscriptions

Is there anyway to change my user setting so that I don't subscribe to a thread every time I respond?

Go into the forums section of the site. Near the top is a button that says "User CP" click it.

You will get a list of the threads you have subscribed to. Under each is a field that says "Reply|Unsubscribe". Click unsubscribe.
