Remain calm, not only does this allow you to control situations etc., I also think that you learn about people when they panic. For example, my climbing instructor told me after I On-sighted a very tall crag, that I am usually a really calm, laid-back, chilled person, but that when I was up there, I completely changed, and was really snappy and stressed (I didn't trust the guy B-laying me because he couldn't hold my weight and when I was stopping on a ridge to shake my hands, I could see slack gathering in the rope.
