why do people have a myspace account but then block their profile from people being able to see it? Doesn't make sense.

the point of myspace is to communicate with friends and have your own little page. I set mine to private so that people like they psychopathic ex-con at work, or the people that left me on the side of the highway in a town 2 hours away from home, or any other crazies can't look at it and gain any kind of info from it that they can use against me or something. If people want to see my page, they can click add me. If i know them, they get added. If i don't know them, they don't need to be looking at my page anyway.

fyi. i know each person on my list personally with the exception of maybe 10 that i know from here and other internet sources. That's why i have 200-ish contacts and not thousands like the myspace-whore posterchild...
