sorry, i have to complain a bit...

first, let me say i appreciate this site... it is certainly a reliable resource for information, and has helped me out quite a bit... and (generally) everybody has been fun to converse with.

with that said, another one of the reasons why i chose to stick around this site was because of its relative lack of advertising. For instance, if you go to modmyifone.com, like half of the screen real-estate is dedicated to advertising... which annoys the heck outa me.

now, i do understand this kind of thing is sometimes needed to keep the costs of the site down... and i'm sure management would only add more only if it were absolutely necessary... i just hope it doesn't get much worse.

dude, i'm using adblock too... but these last few days i've seen more banners on this site than ever... you don't see them?

I block them, but they keep coming back... persistent buggers.

that is why love this site I can get to really fast on my I phone any other site that has slot of adds takes my iPhone a long time to load this is my number one site cause that and cause everyone on this site is here to help you and give really good advise not to screw u over with this site I will be lost on my iPhone

well... i just discovered the fact i can use wildcards when defining filters, so that seems to be helping... still doesn't help in safari, though...

I saw it once.. right clicked on it and selected: Addblock Image... poof they are gone. You using Firefox? Adblock Plus? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865

yeah, i had been doing that nonstop the last few days. I just now blocked a fram using a '*' as a wildcard for anything from that google ad place, and that seems to be doing the trick.

no, i was referring to an extension of Firefox called "adblock plus". It weeds out any annoying frames of advertising. it's pretty cool... you should check it out if you have firefox.

This was discussed here. I've made a few changes since last night . As a result, there is little difference from a few days ago.
