I am a big runner myself. Does anybody else here run often?
Do you use the Nike+ iPod setup?
I (try to) run at least every other day, and since Nike running shoes suck, I cant use the Nike + iPod, so I got the Runkeeper from the App Store. It's very similar, and it's probably the best (IMO) jogging app so far.

i used to run and have to start again
i need to lose some weight
but with school work and family im dead tired
and lack motivation
That's why I run, to lose weight. My wife runs marathons, so I have to have her motivate me to run, otherwise I wouldn't!

Thanks for that suggestion, Jack. I'll give that app a try. I started running at the beginning of spring and am totally hooked. I do about four miles three times a week. I love mapmyrun.com as a place to track my distance and find runs other people like, but I think I had a problem with the related iPhone app or something.. can't really remember.
Does Runkeeper have to run in the foreground? Can you listen to music or talk on the phone while it tracks? I know I had that issue with trailguru..

Start your music first, then start Runkeeper. You can lock the screen to save battery life. The pro version has some extras, but I can't remember what they are ATM. I use the free version, which is really cool, and the pro version is probably better yet!

I don't run... at all. Only when I am trying to catch some one, which rarely happens. That's why my breath is really short when I am running or doing any hard exercises. Any ideas on how to longer it?

The only way to get in better shape is to get some exercise. I would recommend starting with some short runs. With running, you have to build up slowly. It can be pretty dangerous if you don't start small.
I recommend starting by trying to run a mile every other day or so. After a week at this rate, if you're feeling confident, try to up your distance by a half-mile or so. Slowly, you can build your way up.
Make sure to talk to a doctor before doing any of this, and you might want to check out a running site like Runner's World, to get some ideas.
MapMyRun is a great tool and I use it a lot too. It's fun to try new routes and see what you can do. I would recommend going to a real running store and getting some quality running shoes fitted as well.
Running is hard to get motivated for, but it's actually a lot of fun once you get out there. You'll feel a lot better about yourself once you do it.
Good luck and keep running.

Thanks a lot. The problem is, the H1N1 virus is all over Egypt nowadays, and it's not even safe to go outside without wearing the white mask thing. I hate wearing it but I have to. A lot of people caught it, and the one who started it was an American woman -_- she's in the hospital now because it was too late finding out and the H1N1 already affected her respiration system. There are 7 cases in my university, and they are foreigners as well, and a lot of streets are actually closed down in Egypt nowadays, as well as a lot of fast food restaurants. I'm supposed to start taking my summer courses in the university after tomorrow but I don't feel safe, but I have to, otherwise my parents will kill me!
Anyhow, I'll probably buy a treadmill and run in my house once in a while, I think I can get used to that. Is there any other device like the treadmill that you recommend for losing weight (like running and stuff)? Also not a very expensive one you know.. just a simple one. I heard there was one like a.. a... shaker? You just stand on it and it keeps shaking your body and stuff llool it's weird. I want to go from size 32 to size 30 in pants so.. I'm trying my best as well as managing a diet nowadays, been doing it for four days now.
