It had been following her since she was a child. She was randomly chosen, just as Diane was. It had two separate motives. It wanted to possess her (and it had been working on that for years) and then it wanted to killed Micah, simply because of his arrogance. He did everything he shouldn't have; he set up the camera, summoned it with the ouja board, demanded it to show itself, went out of his way to show he wasn't afraid of it, and just threatened it in general throughout the movie. The final straw was burning the cross. Throwing his dead body into the camera at the end was to show that it won, in the most dramatic way possible.

I thought the same thing. He was obviously taunting the demon so it was keen on killing him.
I really liked how they didn't show a physical demon really. It left it up to the imagination a bit.

Exactly. The same tactic was used in Blair Witch and I loved the fact that they never showed her. Once you can see it, you can size it up. It forces you to use your imagination. Most people that didn't like Blair Witch don't really have one and need to be spoon fed special effects etc.

The shakey camera was another reason people didn't like it. I know when i saw it in the theater I had a headache afterwards.

Yeah, that's true.

I plan on seeing this movie if and when it comes to my area. I do enjoy a good scare but I know so much of it is just fabrication, and dramatization. I guess if it was based on a true story I would be more interested. I don't understand how people can be so scared watching this judging from the scenes showing the audience. LOL
For those of you who saw this movie, did you feel it was truly scary?

I have noticed that 4 theaters in the Phx area will full day listings of shows. So check your local theaters or use this link to movietickets.com. Put in your zip and change the date to friday.
