Default iPhone - automatic time change?

So, with the time change tonight, I wondered -

The iPhone syncs it's time with cell towers. So - at 2 AM, will it automatically change to 1:00? Or would it have to be locked and unlocked for it to change?

Thought it would be neat to watch it just suddenly change.

Mine automatically changed at 2 AM for 1 AM. Oddly enough, my wall clock that syncs with some clock in Colorado didn't time change yet. Not quite sure what's going on there.

i think a lot of things across the country sync with the atomic clock in colorado. since you're 2 time zones ahead, maybe that clock didn't change until all time zones in the u.s. switched (at 2:00 am pacific time)? or maybe that clock only syncs once per day and didn't catch the time change at the last sync?

My Cables Boxes, iPhone, and Microwave clock are still the only ones with the correct time. (I set the microwave after breakfast, but was too lazy to do the others.)
