Pros: consistently mild weather; zero rain from April to November and, lately, not too much rain otherwise; no mosquitoes; no humidity; a rare place in the world where you can snow ski in the morning and surf in the afternoon (two hours between snow-capped mtns and the beach).

Cons: ocean water is too cold for my tastes. I scuba dive and Florida water was soooo nice and warm; earthquakes (no warnings)

Pros: warm weather year 'round; warm ocean water; coconut palm trees; wild parrots and tropical birds

Cons: very humid; mosquitoes and flying ****roaches; rains a ton; hurricanes (but at least you know about them ahead of time)

PDS - California for accounting. All the big firms are out here. I work in accounting for a pretty big firm.
