The only thing I can see is if a group was created for a special interest like cars,photography,ect. They could be talked about here. But you can do that in the chat rooms. So really I don't know.

yeah or the off topic section. i would say this feature would be more useful for if the off topic section was elliminated, because then it wouldn't have post count i guess? but then i'd be screwed lol

I suppose it may be useful if, say, the group were a private group and a person wanted to post a pic or message that only those group members would see rather than posting on the forum for everyone to see? It would be useful if you were able to send out a mass email or PM to everyone in the group, I suppose.
