Getting a job at McDonalds
Has anyone ever worked their?
Where'd you start?
General information that I should know?
Most importantly how many hours would I have to work (at 6.25hr), if I wanted to buy a 16GB iPhone (or 3G), before school started back up (2-months)?
I did some calculation which im sure if they are correct are not:
6.25hr
8hrs a day= $50 a day
atleast 5-days a week= $250 a week
20-22 days a month
=1000 a month/ before taxes

i think it's great you're willing to work such a mediocre job (no offense, i worked a lot of crappy jobs in high school too) for something you really want.
just don't use the free meals every day.

Yeah Im 15- with a late birthday- and a Junior in High School, so I was lucky to get the job. My parents saw how much the iPhones plan was with data and unlimited text, and it cost as much as their blackberry's and treos. I was tired of waiting on fake promises, so I took the initiative and got a job so that I could get the phone I wanted, the plan I wanted, and any extra accessories to go along with it.
Lol! I know it may be a crappy job, but I gotta start somewhere- this is my first job
-BTW what about the free meals?

yeah, i don't mean to put a downer on your new job. you're right, everyone starts out with some crappy jobs. To pay for my first really nice guitar, I used to work in a non-air-conditioned warehouse (in st louis with tons of humidity, and plenty of heat) in the summer shipping school supplies. It'll be sweeter in the end.
anyway, about the free meals... i just thought i heard they give you a free meal every day you work... could be mistaken, though.

I think a friend told me that you have to work a certain amount of hours to be entitled to a free meal. But if I happen to be working on the grill or next to the french fries ya kno I'm gonna be chowing done!
The extra food would be good for me in a way, cause I also lift weights and apart of Bodybuilding.com teen forums, and me being as skinny as I am, I would need the extra food!

A bro I totally understand, the food is so un-healthy that even the salads carry a sh1tload of calories lol! I'll remember your advice, but its gonna be extremely tempting fixing the food, then not wanting to fix my own
Thanks!

When doing the math, don't forget that the taxes will eat up somewhere between 25 & 40% of your gross pay.
