The drinking and driving laws are strange in this country. Someone can kill a person while drinking and driving and if ruled involuntary manslaughter you just get 30 days in jail and probation. But if you shoot YOURSELF in the leg at a club you get two years in prison.

The other guy's sentence has nothing to do with it.
Shooting yourself is not a punishment. Someone that shoots themselves clearly has no grasp of the power a frikken gun in your pocket has.

I get all of this but my argument is that he got 2 years in prison and the guy who killed someone got 30 days in jail.
