Default 225.

225 is a lot of things. its 15 multiplied by itself. its 25 multiplied by 9. its also the amount of days that i have been sober from any drug. i haven't drank, i haven't smoked weed, i haven't tripped anything, i've been far away from everything. one of the main reasons that i still smoke cigarettes like a champ is because its taken the place of a day's joint, or gives me something to do while my friends smoke. honestly, i feel much better - at the beginning of november (which is when i stopped) i was nearly failing every class. i've just finished the year as a part of the honour roll - nothing less than a b. thought i'd share that with you guys. i'm doing better now than i ever was.

Congrats, Sam. Excellent that you quit now rather than years down the road when the consequences could and would have affected the rest of your life. It's harsh that decisions you make when you're young and simply don't have enough life experience to always know better can have such a drastic impact on your life. Hopefully you've avoided most if not all of those. What made you decide to stop?

That's awesome Sam. For real. Now enough with the excuses and quit smoking, too.

Congrats! Being strong enough to pull away from that is something to be very proud of.

When you're ready, I wish you luck with quitting smoking cigarettes as well. Maybe you could try that at the one year mark? If you need anything to help you quit, Chantix is kind of expensive, but it has the highest success rates and you might only need to take it for a few weeks.

Good to hear. Not only the quitting, but the results you are seeing in school. Keep it up. Next up, lose the cigarettes. Think about how many $$ you'll save.

And how many lives (your own and those who inhale around you).

thank you, everyone, for your support. i really do appreciate everyone's thoughts and posts. i'm planning on quitting cigarettes at some point as well, sometime soon, most likely. one thing i have found that's difficult about being sober, is not the physical bit, really, but the social part of it - i mean, quite a few people that i was friends with, we usually connected over a bowl, but now, that i'm sober and that they have realised that i'm not planning to change that anytime soon, those people have slowly drifted out of my life. so it goes.
