Dude if you have an IMAX nearby, go for it. You definitely won't regret. I'm going to see the movie again sometime this week but at a regular theatre and I'm kind of regretting that it won't be in an IMAX again.

I was thinking the same thing. No matter what it's going to be really tough for them to top this film with the third installment. I really don't care because I will be satisfied enough with the first two movies for quite a while.

As an aside, did anyone else notice how terribly "The X Files" did at theaters this weekend? $4 million opening day, ouch.

it's either too soon or too late for the X-Files movie. timing is everything and i'd say this one missed its mark.

In my local paper, every Friday there is a movie review section, they gave X-Files 4 1/2 outta 5 stars, so I figured it would do pretty good. Wow only $4 millioin?! Guess the Dark Knight is still drainin' most ticket sales.

My wife and I had a talk on the way home from the theater. The discussion we had was about the Joker and if Heath Ledger's role could ever be replaced. She didn't think so and didn't think they would ever bring the joker back into the picture, but I thought they left it semi-open for another joker appearance, maybe with (for all you comic readers) Holly Quinn?

Wonder who would play her character if this happened?

Anyways, just a thought.

I heard that the movie was horrible. That was from a die-hard x-files (show) fan. She was extremely disappointed.

I watched X-Files pretty regularly until David Duchovny left the show. It was downhill from there for me.
