Default Suddenly, it *works*

Just in the last 24 hours, I'm finding that my mobilme sync is working just as I would have hoped it would have from the get-go. After sometimes waiting many hours for changes to go from computer to cloud to phone, changes are taking place no more than 15 minutes apart, and in some cases, instantly. The instant ones may have been a result of entering data just before a scheduled sync, but that's the way it's supposed to be happening, and it wasn't.

Anyone else experiencing a sudden positive change in performance?

I could easily be accused of being an Apple Fanboy™, but gotta call a spade a spade here. Apple botched the release of this. It should have worked much better out of the gate. I'm glad it's now working, I hope it's working for others, but the probs shouldn't have been this widespread.

Hoping for smooth sailing from here on in...

I spoke too soon. Added an event a few hours ago, has not synced up to "the cloud." Ridiculous.

Anyone know of a way to force the phone to push to the cloud, in the same way we can order our computer to sync via System Prefs, or the menu bar icon on a Mac?

I seem to recall forcing it to work by turning push off and then back on again.

I was having all kinds of problems up until a few days ago and then I did the same as Ohmster and turned push off then back on. I also turned the phone off and then back on.

Ever since then everything started pushing instantaneously "No Waiting"

I'm amazed at how fast it is. It takes longer to get from contacts to calender online than it does to get the info to the phone or to the cloud.

When it works, it's terrific. But it's wildly inconsistent. I turned it off, and sure 'nuff, it pushed up to the cloud when I turned it back on. But there's an event I added to the phone 2.5 hours ago, and it hasn't pushed up. I shouldn't have to shut my phone off every time to get it to push. For now, I guess, that's what I'm stuck doing if I want to use this. But I may just go back to old fashioned syncing via cable.

I tried to publish a new web gallery from iphoto to my mobile me last night, and "the server was down." Now, it worked tonight. Hopefully everything will be working better soon.

Of course, I thought I was doing it wrong...

That's what I've done. Went back to my old BlackBerry, via cable to Outlook at work--which I know I can rely on. I think you've hit it on the head with "...it's wildly inconsistent". I SOOOOO want this to work well--but until I start seeing consistent reports from guys like David Pogue and Walt Mossberg, and from enough people saying it's working as expected, I can't rely on it. I can't afford to lose contacts or appointments. I'm not staking my reputation on a service such as this.
